How Scoring Works
The ranking model is symbolic rather than statistical. Editorial reviewers assign scores using consistent criteria definitions so readers can compare services quickly. Higher scores reflect stronger alignment with practical buying priorities: clear walk-in service availability, visible same-day handling, instant quote availability, always-on support channels, and transparent pricing disclosure. Because translation projects vary by language pair and legal complexity, scores should be interpreted as directional guidance rather than guaranteed outcomes.
We cap lists at ten agencies per province to preserve clarity and avoid inflated low-signal tables. Each listed provider is reviewed with the same factor headings, and missing public pricing is labeled directly as No Public Pricing. This keeps friction visible to readers who want to compare effort before requesting quotes.
Verification Process
Verification relies on observable website signals, support channel checks, and consistency reviews across provincial pages. The checklist includes pricing visibility, phone listing validation, office signal presence, and instant quote testing where applicable. A positive checklist does not imply legal certification by this website; it indicates that corresponding service signals were visible during editorial review.
To avoid defamatory framing, commentary remains neutral and evidence-based. We describe strengths and limitations as service observations, not accusations. If information is incomplete, we state the limitation directly and invite correction submissions.
Update and Correction Policy
Major methodology reviews occur quarterly and are logged publicly on the Update Log page. Agencies can request factual corrections by submitting supporting evidence through Submit Agency or Contact. Corrections are reviewed by editorial staff before publication. If evidence is partial, we may adjust explanatory notes while preserving current ranking until full verification is complete.
Advertising, when present, is separated from rankings and does not override criteria-based ordering. This protects reader trust and keeps comparison logic stable across pages.
